What is Russian Minesweeper?

Russian Minesweeper is a game based on classic Minesweeper. However, there is a significant twist — this is a multiplayer version. A set of rules has been designed to allow several players to play on the same field at the same time.

Our main purpose was to popularize this great game. Hopefully, more people will know about Minesweeper thanks to similar modifications. "Russian Minesweeper" is a wordplay based on another game's name, the "Russian Roulette". It is also a reference to the Russian origins of the game's creators.

At least two game modes are going to be provided — a turn-based play and so called "parallel" play, which is in development. The goal is the same as that of the classic Minesweeper — to mark all the mines with flags and open the rest of the cells. The fun fact is that there is no draw possible, as one of the players will have less points in all cases. For more information about the rules refer to the corresponding Rules section.
